Network Administrator
Triple Diamond Glass, a wholly owned subsidiary of PGT Innovations, is a manufacturer and supplier of glass technology solutions focused on energy efficiency, impact resistance, and security for use in residential windows. As a part of the Triple Diamond Glass team, you will help foster that innovation by producing next-generation glass products.
We are currently searching for a Network Administrator to implement, administer, maintain and monitor computer networks.
What You'll Do
Other duties may be assigned:
Works closely with manager to develop, coordinate, implement, and maintain all computer hardware, software, and large company projects.
Implements and maintains the standards and procedures for the company's computer infrastructure, including network security, directory structures, network addressing, software applications, file and print services, virus detection, e-mail systems, tape backup system, RAS dial-up solutions, VPN, and users authority.
Implements short and long-term strategy plans for the company's network services, and makes recommendations towards the purchase of new and upgraded systems.
Provides documentation for all network and server hardware, based on management's requirements.
Provides technical input to manager for the development of IS policies and procedures.
Provides tracking and monitoring of network and server performance to maintain company goals.
Provides level 3 technical expertise in support of other techs on the team.
Implements and maintains company specific applications, projects, and services as required.
Is required to use industry standard Project Management Skills for projects of any size.
With the approval of manager, can acquire the services of other technicians to complete projects.
Provides training to lower level technicians when opportunities arise.
Maintains all network and server hardware, troubleshoots, diagnoses and corrects network and server problems.
Monitors all LAN/WAN connections and makes recommendations for improvement or correction.
Integrates and maintains necessary PC, server, and networking components with the telecommunications systems.
Oversees all modifications to Internet T1 data communication pathways.
Oversees all e-business Internet communication.
Installs and configures PC's, servers, printers, software, and network equipment and components.
Demonstrates basic operation to users.
Responds to needs and questions of users concerning their access of network resources.
