Member Services Coordinator - Goochland YMCA

The Goochland Family YMCA is seeking a strong team player with proven relationship-building and communication skills to serve as its Member Services Coordinator.

The Coordinator will serve as key front desk representative, performing all member service duties. Responsibilities include greeting members; conducting facility tours; answering phone and in-person inquiries about membership and programs; performing efficient, accurate membership sales and program registrations; following up with members and potential members; facilitating communication between membership/registration staff and department supervisors. The Coordinator may assist the Member Services Director with administration of financial assistance program, development and implementation of member services initiatives, tracking membership activity, and training part-time staff.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, as well as at least one year of prior customer service or related experience. This position requires excellent attention to detail, and strong oral and written communication skills. The successful candidate must be proficient with computers, and demonstrate ability to successfully use Daxko membership software program after completing training. The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment is necessary. Candidates must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. CPR and First Aid are desired.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
